These buggerz are nasty! If you have one, you have a 1000! These lil things will get into spaces, and avoid common bug killers. I seen a house when we were looking for one, that was infested with these things. They bombed, sprayed, and the whole 9 yards. The guy told us, that it's like this, they are able to get in the cracks, and go deeper then the gas will go, and that's how they survive. He said if you have one, you can bet there's more around. He showed an example, he laid a sticky trap out on friday, and we went back on sunday afternoon, and had 60 plus on that thing, and some were still alive. He let me put lighter fluid on them, and toast those sons of *******! It's not uncommon for them to be anywhere that's infested with them. They will hide in beds, in clothing, shoes, boots, anything, then when you go to put them on, it strikes, and it can be deadly. More people are bitten by these then the other spider the black widow. Both can be deadly, but I have seen where the recluse has bitten someone on their back, and I'm talking about it takes out chunks of skin, that person finally ended up dying after that massive bite. There is no antidote, however for the black widow bite, there is. Which in some cases is just as deadly as the bite its self. Watch them, they are out there!

Article excerpt from the33tv.com — "(FORT WORTH, TX) Most spiders are scary, but the Brown Recluse is venomous. They are seldom seen until someone is bitten. That's exactly what happened to Billie Ball, who says she had a severe systemic reaction and was in a coma for 3 weeks. "I had full organ failure, my kidneys failed, I was on Dialysis ; they would tell my mom that I...

I've seen them up close, and I killed them. I'm so scared of spiders don't ask me why it just is. These lil buggers are NASTY and they are always hiding! Much like the Sydney Funnel Web Spider, it hides too, however not found here, it's just as nasty!

My grandpa got a hole all the way to the bone on his arm from one. I've seen lots of em, but they're pretty shy and usually run if they can, unlike a black widow, which'll stand there all like "Yo...come get some."

hmmmm....i like spiders the only way spiders will attack if you show fear or feels threatened. but that is sad when spiders attack innocent people who don`t do anything wrong.

i have been bitten 3 times... once on my thumb that swelled so bad they had to cut it open to drain it.. (have a half inch scar across it from the scalpel).. another time on the back of my leg after sitting on a patio..

the third was the brown recluse... it was on my inner thigh... and wasn't pretty.. its actually pretty normal now.. just a little hole that isn't too big.. but i can stick a needle in pretty far before it meets resistance..

i guess i got to the hospital way quick... (having the spider dead helped too...)

I have never had the displeasure of meeting one. I live in Sacramento and I'm not too sure if we have them here. Spiders freak me out anyway. I have been bitten by a black widow at my moms and that hurt like hell but no after affects.

lol takes me back to the other rag about the guy being able to walk (then abuse somebody) after being bitten by one.
I blame this amputation on the guy who was cured by one! Spiders united after that and decided no more good deeds! lol
