People have become to lazy to care. I have a slow leaking front left tire on the jeep. A young man walked by me, looked right at the tire, and kept walking. How much effort does it take to say hey, you're tire's flat?

I will bet if you went to a public event in their country and showed that type of disrespect, you may not have lived to tell the tale.

Although it's not mandated by Law, it's certainly disrespectful to not stand for 'God Bless America'. I personally would have put a reef in each of the little pups' upper lip.

This is a free country. If they didn't wanna stand who are you or anyone to tell them they have to?

They will win this lawsuit even if all the get back is what they paid to get in.

I am not saying they got to believe in GOD the USA or any FUGGIN thing, just when in Rome you do as the ROMANS do if you want to get along. Like I said you try that shit in their country and you will get FVKED up. Don't believe me go to ANY other country and show the same disrespect and let me know how that works out for you, If you are still breathing. I will bet my nuts they were asked to stand up, they gave the person(s) some lip then were asked to leave.

The LAST thing I support is COMMUNISM, Back in the day before we got enlightened, this sort of thing would have ended bad for these teenagers who pulled this stunt. If you are here in the USA you should be glad to be here. If I was from a starving third world country and was granted asylum in the USA you can bet your ass I would be grateful to be here.

Key phrase in your rant is "OTHER COUNTRIES" this is AMERICA and we are free to do what the f&ck we fell during anything that is happening. No one is required to do anything but pay taxes and obey the law. THATS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HATE France and Russia but if I were over there I would not be starting shit, I may not like the pieces of shit but out of respect I would stand and attempt to muster a little respect.

I wouldn't have stopped simply because you're male. Not that I'm sexist, but I'm very cautious. If it was broad daylight and other people were around, I would have helped. But if it wasn't... hell no.

What does it matter who penned it. Its law on books that violates the constitution and no one seems to care. It really sad the general public doesn't have such knowledge.

Pushed?!?! LoL he looked pretty happy to me signing it. There was really no resistance either since he did it right after 9/11 stating to people this bill is for your protection.

Obama even said he was gonna get rid of it but back down and let it stay. Regardless of who did it its there. Look it up. Make your own judgments like I did and try to inform.

That's just silly. People going to say some shit violates their constitutional rights when it happened because they can't show some respect for their country?

Its that mindset which is exactly what the problem with this country is -- everyone wants to (and does) just do whatever the hell they want to and... well, look what this country is turning into. :)

People need to reevaluate their concept of "freedom" and realize that it doesn't just mean being a self-centered ass. And if you enjoy the notion and the country that grants it? Then stand up for the damn song.

Again I will say. We are only required to obey the laws and pay our taxes. If someone doesn't wanna stand for the song or the pledge of allegiance they don't have to. Call it what you want.

You need to reevaluate the concept of freedom cause freedom means I do what I want, when I want, as long as I'm not hurting anyone while doing it.

Why don't you people worry about these politicians disrespecting the country. I have seen countless times Obama not even holding his hand across his heart during the pledge and such things. I've also seen other politicians do the same.

Because it makes sense to snub the country you live in than fall back on your "constitutional rights", I guess.

Well, if people don't have to stand and pay respect then hell, why should our president. This is a free country, right? I guess he can do whatever he wants.

Our presidents already do what they want. That's been going on for a long time now.

I'm just stating the clear fact people are in a uproar about these teens not standing during this song and the politicians you vote for do the same thing in front of millions and theres no flack about it.

And to be real honest there isn't much to respect about America at the current time.

There's no flak? Hahaha... I guess you just missed the whole uproar over that hand-on-heart thing?

Anyhow, if this is America and freedom means you can do what you want then why should anyone care that that goes for our government, too? I've always said politicians are nothing but normal people when you come right down to it; maybe our self-centered "values" are starting to worm their way into our government.

If there's nothing to respect about America then why live here? The people who run it, the policies which control it and the people who live in it are a different story altogether. If you've got no respect for your country and what its *supposed* to be and represent then what have to got to measure the latter against?

After reading the article I see that the boys claim they were not asked nor told to stand during the song. They simply sat in their seats during it, not under protest, but because they didn't realize standing was required.
I also see that 'Dad' is a lawyer. No surprise there.
Two sides telling two stories and Dad all too happy to bring a lawsuit against a minor league ball club. They may bankrupt the club and force them to end operations. Oh man, would those families be run out of town on a rail if they close down the cheapest form of entertainment in town.

Actually, Obama is the only one I have seen refuse to put his hand over his heart while campaigning and at the beginning of his term. I think after enough people said something about it his publicist probably decided it was a good idea to at least fake it. I have seen one pic of him so far with his had over his heart.

I have been to many sporting events at all levels and the announcer has always said, "Please stand, remove your hats and pay respect as our National Anthem is being played." Not in those exact words every time but along the lines of it. Unfortunately at these events you can't press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish, etc....... ; )

Ok, wrong song. I was thinking of the National Anthem. I believe they do the same for the 7th inning stretch song as well. Even if it happens to be Take Me Out To The Ballgame.

If the stadium is not considered public property then their presence there is not a right but a privilege. Management has the right to refuse service to anyone. Same thing in my hotel. Don't want to follow my rules? I'll keep your money and have you escorted off the property by police. So good for the owner. Those boys need to just shut up and drop the lawsuit.
