I feel so bad for the dead guy's family. His daughter is apparently only 4 years old. :(
I was upset to hear that the protests (this is in my hometown, very close to where I live) turned to violence and vandalism. This horrible shooting is something that needs media attention and should absolutely be protested, but the stores that got vandalized had nothing to do with the shooting... It's a rough enough economy without people just turning on one another.
