Should Electric Cars Make More Noise?
DiPLoMaT says,
Looking both ways before you cross is what you are taught. Why make the cars more noisy cause people may not be able to hear them?

To answer you question Diplomat, here in the "armpit of America" (Kern County) we get a lot of heavy fog and have to rely on listening for oncoming traffic. So, yeah, I would like to be able to hear a car coming down the street to avoid pulling out in front of it.
Nice question though because until I moved out to Cali, I never had to deal with fog.

while i agree that we need an alternate fule source.. answer one question honestly... electric cars need to be recharged with electricity .. aka, plugged into your home.. now, with that nice cap and trade that going to increase your electric bill, do you really want to increase it that much further/ (aka, paying more to keep your electric car full than a regular car?)
as i said, we do need an alternate fuel source, but im not for one that will cause me to be paying more than i already do in my 91 camaro.
and hybrids? no, i do a lot of high way driving, and they actually get pretty bad milage on teh highway compared to their full gas counter part.

My son has a shirt that says, "Loud Pipes saves lives Jesus saves souls" I had never heard the beginning of that saying used until just now.

The latter was added by reliougs groups. "Loud Pipes saves lives Jesus saves souls" is not the original phrase.

Yes, I am well aware of that. I was just mentioning that I had never heard that phrase before on its own. He also has a shirt that has the American Red Cross on it but with Jesus on the cross and it says "Saving Lives since 32 AD. Also one with the Rock Band Logo but it says Jesus Rocks. I could add a bunch more but I think you get my point.

That is exactly what I said. Going by all of his other shirts (playing off of a logo) I just figured it had something to do with Harleys. I had just never heard anyone say it until here.
