Look, if you're a completely vacant, inept candidate for the Vice Presidency, you elected to be there. You elected to become a public figure, and reap both the benefits and the not-benefits of doing so.
So, screw you, Palin. You could have, by accepting a position you were radically unqualified for, caused serious, serious harm to our country. Fey *rightly* mocked you, and in doing so, provided an honorable (yeah, I said it) service to the country as a whole. Couric did the same by showing how utterly vapid and dishonest you are.
Good riddance to bad rubbish, may you never grace the national stage again. Feh.

Couric didn't even mock her. She just asked really reasonable questions. And at no point (that I know of), did Couric show disdain or mockery in her interviews. She just asked questions and tried to get them answered. She didn't even change her tone at all to be mean. I thought it was really well-done and very journalistically proper.
