ShallaBOOM says,
If this can be proved, they need to bring Lenard Nimoy back to update the old In Search Of episode.

It's a shame, if this turns out to be the real thing, that my grandmother didn't live to see it. She would have been fascinated!

Article excerpt from thesun.co.uk — "A group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers say they have found wooden remains on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey .They claim carbon dating proves the relics are 4,800 years old- around the same time the ark was said to be afloat. If this is found to be the Ark, it will vindicate the faith of a lot of people. It will also prove that science and faith are not as different and people believe.

Yes, there was one possible "ark" that was nothing more than an unnatural shape on the ground that had the rough shape of a bow and stern of a conventional ship. Historians point out that the ark would be more box like from the dimensions God supplied Noah in the bible and not like the classical illustration that you see in the article.

I'm rather intrigued by this story and hope to hear more about it as they find out more.

Teacher: Who was Joan of Arc?
Ted: Noah's Wife?

yea I had seen a show on discovery or one of those networks with one that was just as you said, an unnatural shape in the ground. There were a few other possible sites as well. One of which is more box shaped which is why the said that one must be the one. I forget where it was but their government would not allow anyone to get any closer to it or something so nothing further could be found out about it.

This was an interesting read, thank you ShallaBOOOM.

Turkey is regularly in turmoil so it's not surprising if it was there.
Glad you liked it!
