Firefighters Union Works With City for Win-Win Contract

What a sign of the times! I thought this was a great example of how unions and cities are working together in this economic crisis. I thought it was smart of the firefighters to take a pay raise and give up some of their holiday time and agree to pay their own pension contributions. The fact is people need cash right now so the pay raise is awesome for the firefighters and their families, and cities are having a hard time with the economic downturn so not having to pay some holiday pay and pension is a huge help for them. Kudos to both sides.
