Article excerpt from politifact.com — "Physicians are important players in the health care debate. They've been courted by both supporters and opponents of the Democratic reform plan. President Barack Obama held a Rose Garden ceremony with some of them recently. And now opponents of the Democratic health care plan are citing poll results that supposedly show that lots of doctors...

You know what I say? Screw 45% of physicians. Speaking from recent personal experience, some of these people are good for nothing but their ability to write prescriptions; they couldn't diagnose an ebola pandemic to save their lives.

Well, he may be right in that maybe close to that many(but I doubt would even be 15-20%) would no longer practice under the new reform. But only because they would be retiring!! I'm sure that all those people that have 100's of thousands of dollars tied up in their education and getting a client base formed are just going to say F it we quit and throw their current life and lifestyle away and start over! It is amazing how many people actually put even the minutest bit of faith in this guy let alone all those that hang on his every word!

this is why you don't get your news from FoxNews. go for the impartial sources like CNN's anderson cooper.

The New England Journal of Medicine repored that 62.9% of physicians support public healh care. http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/full/361/14/e24
So who's news do you want to read when it comes to health care? A medical journal, or an investment magazine?

Is that a trick question?

Like yetagain said: its not as if someone who has put in that kind of time and money, and who is still going to bring home a stupid paycheck one way or another, is just going to jump ship and go work down at the corner store.

after watching a video on cnn, where they were showing an alqueda video, and the insurgent was having problems charging a 249 saw, and listening to the reporter DEFEND the insurgent, saying that it was a very heavy weapon.. (*btw, the 249 saw is the lightest machine gun we have) i learned that impartial, and CNN do not belong in the same sentence

64% + 45% = 109% Faulty math.

But that's not the arguement. "If you are not with us, you are against us" does not apply here. If 64% support it, that does not mean that 36% will quit because of it. Of that 36%, a smaller percentage are indifferent, and some disapprove. Even not all of those that disapprove will quit because of it.

Hey Einstein, your article said 63% of physicians support public health care and the above article insinuates that 55% are for it. 63-55=8 Pay attention, there will be a quiz. I was just merely pointing out that there's not much of a difference in the magazine's numbers.
