Do you remember back in the late 80's-early 90's in Florida every spring it was like tourist hunting season opened and finally the Florida government did something drastic and unheard of, they passed a law so that anyone without a criminal past or mental problems can get a CCW and since then, crime in Florida has been down drastically especially on tourists.

Most the violence in the early 80s was cause of the big time drug trade going on down in Miami. There is this great documentary called "Cocaine Cowboys" tells you all about it.
But back to the story, good to see people sticking up for each other and not letting the waste of society take over and do what they want.

I'm a HUGE NRA supporter. I was a target shooter for awhile. I am not against concealed weapons laws to an extent. However, this is story actually hurts the reason to have concealed weapons. Would of been better for him to just take the money as innocent people could of been hurt in the crossfire, but I applaud the guy for taking action. I think we're to liberal with concealed weapon laws. I'm all for em but I think they need to be privatized deputies who have to go thru extensive training and frequent refresher course.

sad thing is, the customer will probably end up doing jail time or be sued by the family because the woudl be robber "did nothing wrong" and the customer "antagonized him". I can see the paper changing it from a robbery attempt to a verbal altercation. One paper did it not to long ago with an attempted robbery at a gun store to try to promote gun control....

Why conceal? At one point in time concealing a weapon was actually considered a very cowardly thing to do in this country. I live in a part of California where state law allows loaded open carry. I don't know too many people around here who don't carry a gun, and none of them carry concealed. Needless to say, violent crime here is almost non-existent, but there are a lot of shootings and robberies in the next town over where loaded open carry isn't an option.

In Tennessee, shootouts are still legal, and statistically you don't often see Nashville on the top of the crime list......lol.

it is ok for people who know how to use them have them but if it is some young punk who is willing to lose his life over 200 dollars in a til that is pretty stupid.
